Terms of Use

Last updated 22 September 2026. Please read these terms carefully before using the James Steven Landscapes & Lawns website.

This website is run by James Steven Landscapes and Lawns Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16963850. By using norwichturfing.co.uk you accept the terms on this page. They cover the website itself. The terms for any work we do for you are a separate matter, dealt with below.

Using this website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not:

  • submit false, misleading or fraudulent enquiries;
  • use the website in a way that could damage, disable or impair it;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its systems;
  • use any automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or extract content from this website without our prior written consent;
  • upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses or harmful material.

Sending us an enquiry

An enquiry through this site is a request for a quote. It is not an order, and it does not book anything in. Sending one costs you nothing and commits you to nothing.

It does not commit us either: we may not be able to take the work on, or to take it on when you need it. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, and no contract exists between us until we have agreed the work with you.

Prices and information on this site

Anything on this site is general information and a guide. Any figure, price, timescale or example of past work is there to give you a sense of what to expect. It is not a quotation and it is not binding on either of us. Real prices depend on what the job turns out to involve, and we will not know that until we have looked.

We keep the site accurate and current, but we cannot promise it is free of error or omission, and we may change any of it without notice.

The terms of the work itself

If you go ahead with us, the terms of that work are agreed separately, in writing, in the quotation, order or contract we give you for the job. That document is what governs the work: what we are doing, what it costs, when it happens, and everything else that matters.

Where that document and this page disagree about the work, that document wins. Please read it, and ask us about anything in it you are unsure of before you accept.

The rest of this page sets out the terms we have published for our work since our earlier website, which continue to apply unless your quotation says otherwise.

Quote enquiries

We aim to respond to all enquiries promptly, typically within two hours during normal working hours. Response times may vary depending on demand and the time of submission.

Quotes are provided based on the information you supply. Final pricing may be subject to an on-site or telephone assessment for larger or more complex jobs.

Bookings and services

A contract for lawn work is formed when you accept a quotation and confirm a booking with us in writing, including by email or text. At that point, the agreed scope, price and date constitute the terms of the service.

We reserve the right to decline any enquiry at our discretion, for example if we do not have availability in your area or if your requirements are outside our current service offering.

Cancellation and rescheduling

We ask for a minimum of 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed booking. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee, which will be communicated to you at the time of booking.

In exceptional circumstances we may need to reschedule your booking. We will give you as much notice as possible and offer an alternative date at no additional cost.

Pricing and payment

All prices quoted are in pounds sterling and inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices are based on the information provided at the time of enquiry. We reserve the right to revise a quote if the scope of work changes materially from what was originally described.

Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. We accept payment by bank transfer and card.

Our liability for the work

We take care to carry out our work to a professional standard. In the unlikely event that something is damaged during the work, please notify us within 24 hours of the work being completed so we can investigate.

Our liability to you is limited to the value of the services provided. We are not liable for:

  • indirect or consequential losses;
  • losses arising from pre-existing damage, wear or fragile items not disclosed in advance;
  • losses where access to the property was not made available at the agreed time.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Your responsibilities

To allow us to carry out our services safely and effectively, you agree to:

  • ensure safe access to the property at the agreed time;
  • disclose any known hazards, fragile items or areas that require special treatment;
  • ensure pets are secured or kept away from the area being worked on where relevant;
  • tell us about any underground services, pipes, cables or irrigation, and any access restrictions, before work begins.

You are welcome to look at the site, and to print or save a page for your own use. Please ask before republishing any of it, using it commercially, or passing it off as your own.

Links to other sites

Where we link to another website it is because we think it will be useful. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for what is on them or for what they do with your information.

Availability

We would like the site to be available all the time, but we cannot guarantee it. We may take it down for maintenance or changes, and we are not liable for a problem you have because it was unavailable. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

Your privacy

What we do with the details you send us is set out in our privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the website after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
